Hallyu superstar group Big Bang has definitely lived up to its name. Since Big Bang debuted in 2006, this groundbreaking five-member idol group has collectively sold over one million albums and EPs in Korea and Japan. Known for their uniquely spicy hip-hop meets pop-rock blend, the members of Big Bang - G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P., Daesung, and Seungri - have collected almost a dozen number 1 radio singles and carved for themselves a respected niche in Korean entertainment. Big Bang and Music

why vips are so faithful? unlike others fandoms most vips i know fell in love first with their music. first time i listened to big bang , i didn't find them so handsome or so cute, the first thing that came in my mind they sure have swag. as a western i didn't know that asians could have so much swag, i didn't even know where south korea is located. but big bang changed me in a more open minded person. after i fell in love with their music , slowly i started to fell in love with each member personality and talent. it's been 5 years they are still the only kpop group i listen too, even if i know most kpop group i just can't bring myself to love another group except them. so as long they still make good music i will be there supporting them. others fandoms may call vips stupid for supporting them despite their scandals but that's what make big bang so lovable. they show you that apart being celebrities they are like most guys in their twenties. big bang& vips love story that will last until whenever

Well said SunskyIvee! I've been a fan of their music since last year and bought their albums online and now I've been a great follower of TOP because of his great style and nice sunglasses. I like the tune of their music though some songs are in Korean but still I like listening to their songs. They are so versatile that they could remake their songs in English and Japanese. Big Bang really is one of my fave artists in Korea and because of that I saw beautiful ladies in K-Pop scene like Bora of Sistar, Sunye of WG, Dara and Bom of 2ne1, Yoona of SNSD and my ever crush Suzy of Miss A. ;)

FIRST. because they're TRUE MUSICIANS. they didn't decided to debut as a singer/rapper just to earn money and live a wealthy life. well, ofc they also want to help their families but their main goal is bcos of music. Whenever they perform, u can see the passion in their eyes. it seems like they're communicating to u heart to heart just by singing or rapping. Even tho u can't understand the lyrics of their song u still feel touched or sometimes cry right? that's bcos of the passion and love the boys gave when they sing it or write it. that's how talented they are. And they don't FOLLOW trends. They are the one who MAKES it.
Secondly, YG admitted that he's been eceiving 'love calls' from inter. producers. some of them is diplo and ludacriss. and i can feel that there are many more that called, YG is just not saying it.
Lastly, They're big bcos of the love that us, VIPS, were giving to them. Willl they win MTV EMA w/o us? nopes. Will they reach they're superstar status like now w/o us? aniyo. and Will they survive those scandals and obstacs w/o our support? idts.

I listened to other KPOP groups before I knew Big Bang and none of them interested me. But hearing Big Bang's song really influenced me.
Big Bang differs from the others 'cause not only do they produce awesome music but because each member has that unique charm that most groups lack. Yeah most of us international VIP's can't understand the language but that doesn't matter. Knowing how hard they work to be where they are now, I call that true artistry. They excelled 'cause they have the drive and also most importantly, the brotherhood.
I love how they see each other as brothers and they never leave any member behind. :)

same as you. big bang is the only kpop group that i listen to. it seems that these boys have cast a spell on me as i'm so fascinated by them. don't know how to explain my feeling towards them, just know that i can't help smiling whenever see them on screen. they are extraordinary adorable and most importantly they feed us with good music, they are real talent.

I'm from the States, so to see this much swag, confidence and fun be pumped out of 5 Korean artists blew me away. I have always been a fan of KPOP and JPOP since I was younger, even though there is a huge language barrier, but something about the music made me just want to get up and dance. BigBang is the first Korean boyband I have actually been following for some time now and they're beyond amazing. There is not ONE song I dislike and that's hard for me. Big Bang is literally the meaning of their name. They deliver big bangs through music, talent, fashion, and love for their fans. This is why I am proud to be VIP. Because BB chose the perfect name for their fans - Very Important People. They make us feel important. I know it was from a song name as the original source, but they live up to giving their fans that name. We are important, we are special, because we make them feel like that too.

And other idols groups try their hardest be like Big Bang...but they have a long way to go. And i have to say that Big Bang is the only group (2NE1 as well) that made my get my friends in kpop.

Here is another reason, and the most important to me.
They're more human than other idol groups, imo. They're not perfect, which is what makes them perfect....? LOL.... :P
