Yes, Simon and Martina are awesome! I'd love to find a husband like Simon who loves K-Pop. hehe. And of course Big Bang and 2NE1 will become famous in North America, if not famous already. However, I don't think they should debut there. I mean, part of the charm of a K-Pop group is that they are not easily accessible to the rest of the world. That feeling of wanting to see them in person grows greater when one knows that there might not be a chance of really seeing them. I think that's why fans are more loyal and the fandom lasts longer unlike those artists who are accessible to all of the world. They should just do concerts and the like but not actually debut because if they do, the concerts and shows will be valued more than that of the artist who always do a concert. I don't know. It's just my opinion.

There have been Hispanics who have been chart toppers in the States. Shakira, Daddy Yankee, Ricky Martin, J.Lo, Pitbull, those Disney star girls, the list goes on....and it's possible for Asians if they have what it takes. Far East Movement worked hard over the years and it paid off, have we forgotten about Like a G6? The trick to America is you aren't going to be huge over night, even Gaga who people treat like she's the second coming of John Lennon had to work hard underground for years. You can't just come here promote for 2 months and expect to go straight to #1, leave for 10 months and expect to still be popular when you comeback. It is a constant grind to make it and stay relevant in America.

This is completely true, my friend is a Taeyang fan, and she wasn't even aware of Korean pop at all. She saw him at a Alicia Keys concert. She knew he was in a band, but she never knew much about the band. Luckily, I introduced her to ALL members of BB, and now she is in love. :]

haha it's so true that Toronto loves BB like no other. I often come across ppl who are quite tame with their love for kpop in general, but when it comes down to BB, they just have so much to talk about. Even if they may not like an individual in the group they ALWAYS give credit to the fact that Big Bang is without a doubt talented. such things just bring a smile to my face!
